Description

The Votes for Women motto was used in 1909 at the famous suffrage open house at Marble House in Newport, Rhode Island and by Mrs. Alva Erksine Smith Vanderbilt Belmont on her personal tea service. This banner ornament is in the traditional purple and gold of the suffrage movement.

Made by hand and based out of London, our line of embroidered ornaments use a number of fabrics, including cotton, felt, silks, satins, and velvets decorated with beads, braids, metal and silk threads. All of these decorations are completely handmade, and the time taken to make each one is reflected in their unique quality.
