Early last century, Victory produced many puzzles featuring Cunard Ocean liners. They were very popular in their day.
As a tribute to those early puzzles, we have launched a travel poster puzzle featuring one of the most famous ships of her time.
RMS Aquitania was a British ocean liner of the Cunard Line in service from 1914 to 1950. She was launched on 21 April 1913 and sailed on her maiden voyage from Liverpool to New York on 30 May 1914.
Considered during this period of time as one of the most attractive ships, Aquitania earned the nickname "The Ship Beautiful" from her passengers.
Aquitania was the third in Cunard Line's grand trio of express liners, preceded by RMS Mauretania and RMS Lusitania, and was the last surviving four-funneled ocean liner.
She was converted to be both a hospital ship and a troop carrier in both world wars.
Aquitania ended her career as the longest-serving Cunard vessel when she retired from service in 1949.

The Victory Jigsaw Puzzles brand was first established in the early 1920s by G.J. Hayter & Co. in Bournemouth, England. The hand cut plywood jigsaws were a familiar sight in British homes from the 1920s onwards. Victory's top of the line 'Gold Box' series didn't included guide pictures which added to the puzzling challenge and were known to be a favorite with the Royal family.
Today, using sustainably sourced 5mm plywood and modern laser cutting techniques, our puzzles contain unique, beautiful cut patterns which include the whimsical shaped pieces that Victory was so famed for. Like the original, Victory's our wooden puzzles are heirloom quality and highly collectable.
Operating out of our premises less than 10 miles from the site of the original factory, we work closely with established and emerging artists and continue to bring you original, beautiful images to give you the most fantastic, puzzling experience.
