The Elms Loose Leaf Tea: Cinnamon Orange

The Elms, a grand estate in Newport, Rhode Island, was built in 1901 for coal magnate Edward Julius Berwind and his wife Herminie. Designed by architect Horace Trumbauer and modeled after France's aristocratic grandeur. Unlike many of its contemporaries, it featured on of Newport's first fully electrified interiors. Its lavish garden, ornate interiors, and classical sculptures reflected the opulence of the Gilded Age. After Berwind's death in 1936, it remained private until the 1960s, when it faced demolition. Rescued by the Preservation Society of Newport County, The Elms now operates as a historic house museum, preserving a glimpse of America's Gilded Age splendor.
