Description
Our Newport Pineapple pattern was designed exclusively for The Newport Mansions Stores and NewportStyle.net by graphic artist, Suzie Tremel.
The Preservation Society of Newport County pineapple was inspired by the pineapple over the doorway of Hunter House (c. 1757), Newport, RI. The decorative pineapple was a colonial symbol of hospitality that grew out of the sailors practice of setting a fresh pineapple outside their to door to indicate their return and that fresh fruit was available for anyone who wanted to visit. It now serves as the hospitality symbol for Newport. The Preservation Society of Newport County adopted the pineapple motif for its seal and logo in 1947.
Our Newport Pineapple Fleece Throw Blanket is perfect for those chilly New England nights. The colorful pineapple repeating pattern adds a pop of color to your decor. Made in the USA.
