Description

The name "ammonite" comes from the spiral shape of these fossilized shells. Pliny the Elder (d. 79 AD near Pompeii) called fossils of these animals ammonis cornua ("horns of Ammon") because the Egyptian god Ammon (Amun) was typically depicted wearing ram's horns.

Finish: Solid brass, electro-plated with non-tarnishing silver finish, hand enameled and ear posts are hypo-allergenic
