A leader of the Art Nouveau movement, Louis C. Tiffany (1902 - 1932) and his designers used his invention of favrile glass to create mouth-blown vases infused with iridescent color. Serving as inspiration for this luxe shawl, the elegant vase in the museum’s collection rewards closer inspection with rich shades of turquoise and dark teal touched with lustrous gold.
