Description

The Breakers, the most opulent of Newport's "summer cottages," was built in 1895 by Richard Morris Hunt for railroad tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt II. This bookmark is inspired by design elements from this period, specifically the intricate ironwork found on the magnificent entrance gate at the Breakers.
